Cephalopod translates from Greek into "head foot." As a hall predominately composed of homo sapiens, our heads are not directly connected to our feet, but sometimes it's as if we are collectively thinking with our feet with the nonsensical content spewing out of our mouths. One is also prone to spontaneously erupt into extensive whiteboard diagramming to complement such nonsensical content. We dub such sacred yet sacrilegious episodes "cephalopod hours."

In the original words of moeman99 '21, the creator of the term 'cephalopod hours,' it's "basically if you should be sleeping but are up talking with people instead."

Such hours are less to be textually described, and more to be experienced.
